Free Eco Tour Bus Service

To promote tourism and raise awareness on environment, the UT Forest Department has decided to start an “eco tour bus” service to various forest areas of Chandigarh.

Key nature spots to be covered

Bus ride will start from Sukhna Lake and cover Butterfly Park, Sector 26; Peacock Park, Sector 39; Botanical Garden, Sarangpur; Parrot Park, Sector 21; Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary (Nepli/Kansal), before ending at the lake

Bus Service

  • It will operate twice or thrice a week and it is based on first come first service.
  • Currently only one eco tour bus will operate and will take visitors to see various forest areas
  • Timings for eco tour bus service will be 9 am ( pick-up) and 5 pm (dropping) at same location i.e sukhna lake
  • As it will not be possible to visit both Nepli and Kansal forests the same day, the visitors will be taken to these sites on alternate days.

Eco Tour Bus services will start from 3rd October. 2022
