Be watchful of venomous snakes and Leopard. They can be lethal also.
In case of Leopard sighting, inform Forest Officials.
Don't do
Do not walk other than designated trek/path.
Do not disturb the wild animals.
Do not carry fire arms/ammunition.
No littering will be allowed in any parts of the Sanctuary.
Do not smoke and litter in the forest.
Do not make noise or play music.
Do not carry polythene/plastic bags/ plastic water bottles.
Visit is at permit holder’s risk.
Do not feed & tease wild animals.
Avoid use of flash while taking snaps.
Do not pluck the flowers or harm the plants.
Do not leave children alone.
Do not use perfumes.
Consumption of Alcohol is prohibited.
Important Note
The trekking in the Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary is being organized by the Department of Forest & Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration in order to sensitize the public towards importance of Wildlife Conservation.
All the participants are requested to maintain all discipline and abide by all the terms & conditions laid down by the Department.
Entry will be given based on the acknowledgment slip with valid ID proof (if asked for). You are encouraged to show it in your mobile phone. Do not print, unless it is unavoidable.
Maximum 500 persons will be allowed on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis to participate in the trekking. Final list of participants will be emailed.
Person with chronic disease or heart ailments or those with problem in climbing are advised not to participate in this trek, in case there is any casualty due to health issues, department will not be responsible for this.
In case of bad weather, trekking may be cancelled.

Tips for Trekking
Please assemble at Nepli entrance gate, GPS- 30.753551, 76.844291 (near Saketri Mahadev Mandir), 30 minutes in advance.
For better sighting of wild animals, it is advisable that no noise should be created while trekking.
If any wild animal comes across while trekking, then the wild animal should not be disturbed by the trekkers. Do not stare or make eye to eye contact with wild animals.
Trekkers are advised to keep sun glasses and caps for comfort.
It is advisable not to take kids (of age less than 10 years) for trekking.
Trekkers are also advised to keep Backpack/Hiking Bag and water bottles in the bag as there is only one point in the mid of the trek where water shall be made available by the Department.
